Joshua G. C. Wise holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Fairfield University and has previously served as both fiction and nonfiction editor for Mason’s Road. He has previously contributed to The Curator, Patrol Magazine, Baeble Music, GenerationQ, and Quilter’s Home. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he is at work on his first novel.

Fiction

Heather Zullinger received a B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from Miami University of Ohio. She will be graduating this year with an MFA in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. She has experience in business writing, promotional creative, and local journalism. She currently works as a Graduate Assistant in the Fairfield University Writing Center, and she is writing her first novel. She resides with her husband and three daughters in Fairfield, Connecticut.

 

 

Mary Carroll Linder is a candidate for an MFA in Creative Writing, concentrating on fiction, at Fairfield University. A graduate of Boston College, she began her career at Intercontinental Hotels, where she thought she’d died and gone to heaven when they told her they were going to pay her to travel and write. For the next twenty-five years, she spent her career in communications, mainly for big multi-national companies, based in London, Hong Kong, Cairo and New York. Her last corporate position was Senior Vice President, Communications, for a global airline. She is now Principal of MCL Communications, New York, which specializes in crisis management, speechwriting and brand strategy.

Creative Nonfiction

John D. Faugno graduated from the University of New Haven with a B.A. in English Literature and Writing. He worked many jobs, from mowing lawns to retail management, before restarting his career path and going back to college. He is currently a student in Fairfield University’s MFA program, is the Creative Lead for a live-action role-playing game, and is working on his second novel. He lives in Derby, CT with his wife, Dana, and two cats.

 

 

Jessie Reyna received her B.A. in Art History from the University of New Hampshire, and is currently studying nonfiction in Fairfield University’s Creative Writing MFA program. She is a lover of 18^th Century art, traveling and road trips, Conan O’Brien, and baking. She is working on her first memoir in the structure of the ABCs, which she hopes to finish next year. She lives in Long Beach, California with her boyfriend, Sam, and their cat, Mumford.

Poetry

Dayle Brownstein is an educator studying poetry in Fairfield University’s Creative Writing MFA program. She first became interested in poetry while perusing her parents’ bookshelves as a young child. Compression and intensity are primarily what draw her towards the genre of poetry. Some of her favorite poets are William Carlos Williams, Robert Frost, and Sharon Olds.

Craft

Andrew DiPrinzio, from Philadelphia, PA, used to spend his days teaching students with dyslexia classic literature like Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar through a mix of close-reading and performance. After three years of taking on the role of Caesar and being stabbed with foam daggers by dozens of teenagers, he left to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing at Fairfield University, where he’s served as craft editor for Issues 9 and 10 of Mason’s Road.

Drama

Daniela Zaccheo received her B.A. in Communications and Journalism from Suffolk University, and is currently a candidate for an MFA in Creative Writing at Fairfield University with a concentration in fiction. She is passionate about reading, writing, and traveling the world. She lives in Los Angeles with her two cats, Jake and Ace. She is currently working on her first novel.

 Production Manager

Shannon Clark was born and raised in San Diego, CA on a healthy dose of daily reading. Graduating this winter from Fairfield’s MFA Fiction program, she leaves with an array of internships, a finished Young Adult novel, and a drive to continue on in her educational career. She hopes to take her writing passion to a PhD program, publish her finished thesis, and is already actively working on two new Young Adult novels.

Founding Editor

Lisa Calderone is the author of How to Raise A Family & A Career Under One Roof (Bookhaven Press, 1997) and co-author with Paul and Sarah Edwards of The Entrepreneurial Parent (Putnam/Tarcher, 2002). A Creative Type by nature, Lisa spearheaded the launch of Mason’s Road as her capstone project while a graduate student in Fairfield’s MFA in Creative Writing program. She lives, writes, and creates in Guilford, CT.
