Jessie Reyna received her Bachelor’s from the University of New Hampshire and will be graduating with her Master’s in Creative Writing from Fairfield University in July, 2015. She is currently working on her first memoir while working on other writing projects such as personal essays and poetry. She has been featured in the art section in Spry Lit. She enjoys reading, jogging, watching re-runs of Friends, and baking cookies (eating the cookie dough). She currently lives in Long Beach, California with her boyfriend Sam and their cat, Mumford.
Joshua G. C. Wise holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Fairfield University and has previously served as both fiction and nonfiction editor for Mason’s Road. He has previously contributed to The Curator, Patrol Magazine, Baeble Music, GenerationQ, and Quilter’s Home. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he is at work on his first novel.
Heather Zullinger received a B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from Miami University of Ohio. She will be graduating this year with an MFA in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. She has experience in business writing, promotional creative, and local journalism. She currently works as a Graduate Assistant in the Fairfield University Writing Center, and she is writing her first novel. She resides with her husband and three daughters in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Mary Carroll Linder is a candidate for an MFA in Creative Writing, concentrating on fiction, at Fairfield University. A graduate of Boston College, she began her career at Intercontinental Hotels, where she thought she’d died and gone to heaven when they told her they were going to pay her to travel and write. For the next twenty-five years, she spent her career in communications, mainly for big multi-national companies, based in London, Hong Kong, Cairo and New York. Her last corporate position was Senior Vice President, Communications, for a global airline. She is now Principal of MCL Communications, New York, which specializes in crisis management, speech writing and brand strategy.
Daniela Zaccheo received her B.A. in Communications and Journalism from Suffolk University, and is currently a candidate for an MFA in Creative Writing at Fairfield University with a concentration in fiction. She is passionate about reading, writing, and traveling the world. She lives in Los Angeles with her two cats, Jake and Ace. She is currently working on her first novel.
Ann McLellan Lardas grew up in Boston and graduated from Commonwealth School and Wellesley College, from which she graduated cum laude and where she won the Virginia Wainwright Sonnet prize. She lived in Boston and Houston before settling in Stratford, Connecticut. She is married to Rev. George D. Lardas and has four adult children, two daughters-in-law, and a grandchild who has stolen her heart. She has written for “Religion Under Communism,” “Caelum et Terra,” “Orthodox America,” “Living Orthodoxy,” “Orthodox Family,” “The Christian Science Monitor,” and “Raddish Magazine” and helped create and edit a women’s magazine for Toyota’s home page in the early days of the internet. She works as a substitute teacher and choir director while pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing through Fairfield University’s limited residency program. She gardens, cooks, reads, knits, drinks too much coffee, and doesn’t sleep much. But she is happy.
Kristan Campbell is currently one of the poetry editors for Mason’s Road Online Literary Magazine. Originally from Washington D.C., she has studied Journalism at Temple University in Philadelphia and Comparative Literature – French and Russian – at Hunter College in New York until she finally accepted that she should be an English major. She completed her BA in English at Temple and is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at Fairfield University.
Dan Gunderman, from West Milford, NJ, holds a B.A. in Communication (Journalism) and a Minor in History from Monmouth University, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the school’s online magazine, The Verge, from 2012-14. He is currently an assistant editor for a group of community newspapers in NJ, while working toward an MFA in Creative Writing at Fairfield University. Also, Dan is an active film critic for thecriticalcritics.com and stagebuddy.com. He enjoys reading historical fiction and screening films, in particular, the Jurassic Park franchise. He is currently writing his first novel, entitled Synod.
Garrett McConnell received her BFA in Film and Television from NYU. She has been a stage actress for twenty years, and was the entrepreneur behind Boudoir Bar, a performing arts bar in downtown Brooklyn from 1999-2005. She has produced shows from New York to Miami and has directed and written an original play, “The Beauty of the Bump and Grind”, and has written several blogs: Green City Girl, Donathan My Love, and Woman against Bloomberg. She lives in Long Island City, New York and is currently working towards her MFA in Creative Writing from Fairfield University.
John D. Faugno graduated from the University of New Haven with a B.A. in English Literature and Writing. He worked many jobs, from mowing lawns to retail management, before restarting his career path and going back to college. He is currently a student in Fairfield University’s MFA program, is the Creative Lead for a live-action role-playing game, and is working on his second novel. He lives in Derby, CT with his wife, Dana, and two cats.

Lisa Calderone is the author of How to Raise A Family & A Career Under One Roof (Bookhaven Press, 1997) and co-author with Paul and Sarah Edwards of The Entrepreneurial Parent (Putnam/Tarcher, 2002). A Creative Type by nature, Lisa spearheaded the launch of Mason’s Road as her capstone project while a graduate student in Fairfield’s MFA in Creative Writing program. She lives, writes, and creates in Guilford, CT.
